I would like a new partner!! Why, when I bid Nil, does my so-called partner under-play my lead and make me take a trick, when “it” had higher valued cards to play??? Not much fun when this kind of stuff goes on.

Computer partner consistently under bids causing bags - I’ve learned to overbid by 1-3 depending on the cards in my hand. Board is set up nice and game flows smooth; no glitches or weird pauses.

I haven’t played Spades in a number of years. And, when I did play it was with human partners. This is the first time I’ve played it electronically. I found this version to be easy, fun, relaxing; and thank goodness, not as competitive as playing with humans. Just what I want in a game: easy and relaxing. For me, the color scheme of the card deck against the green backdrop is well coordinated and makes for good play. So far, it doesn’t appear that the computerized players have the advantage, so that’s good. Not bad for a free game.

example you can put out a K of diamonds and it will hit you with a spade, taking the trick, and later throw out a diamond, which he is not supposed to have to play the spade. IT CHEATS. Partner works against you. and sometimes eg, there will not be an ace of one suit. and please get rid of the tag penalty, one time you can get 1 tag and get penalized, and sometimes you can have 5 tags and no penalty.

Why the hell does my partner not cover me when I bid 0?

I’ve been playing Spades for 50+ years and have never had such a dumb partner as on this Spades game. When a partner bids one and ends up taking 3 or 4 because he/she was holding high Spades, how dumb is that? If I throw down a high card because I want/need it and partner trumps it, while later showing he/she could have put down a lower card, how dumb is that? When I bid null and partner consistently puts down low cards causing me to blow the null even though he/she later shows higher cards could have prevented this, how dumb is that?The programming of this Spades game is simply DUMB, no fun and the only challenge is to see how many times your partner can work against you.

I bid nil a lot, and my computer partner will throw aces and kings on off tricks instead of using them later to cover my plays. It also consistently trumps or over-plays my winning cards on non-nil hands when it plays 4th on a trick instead of reserving those cards to beat an oppenent’s play. And it almost always underbids by one trick or more, forcing me to overbid just to keep from losing 100 points due to overbids (bags). Very poor AI play.

I’ve never had a partner as bad as one in this game. It’s like the computer is playing for the other team. I find myself bidding nil often which I would never do if I was playing with a real person but the computerized partner is so bad that I have to not to have a negative score all the time. The partner consistently over and under bids. The partner never works with you. Just play as if you’re playing on your own and then the game is kinda fun.

Thus game does not understand how to stop a nil. It does not play strategies.

The computer partner on this game is the worst I’ve ever seen in a spades game. It’s like there is no understanding of bags and low cutting a nil. Could be much better.

AI is trash, no jokers

when your sitting at the desk and you feel like playing a game for me several come to mind and this one is what i usually choose, as has been said your partner can cut you and or hold back on cards and under bid. But that’s a part of the game for me..trying to figure out how i am about to get screwed and not go over the bag limit…heh its entertaining and its free so what more can you ask for.

Great classic spades game easy and fun to play!

My Mom taught me and our neighbor’s daughter Mera how to play Spades when I was 7 and she was 9 because her friends would become ‘unavailable’ This game takes me back to those days. Awesome App. Simple but on point with the rules. Engaging without being addictive. Awesome way to relax after a long stressful day or week. It brings back great memories from my childhood. One thing to look out for if you realize your parntner is an over or under bidder make adjustments in your owwn bid, which is often times the biggest challenge in this type of game, but most Spades partners know that learning your partners style is how to win the game. The only thing it’s mssing is the trash talking. Download, enjoy and be blessed.
